Greetings to fans, press and other readers. Season 53 has already given us 2 full weeks of racing, so we thought it would be a good time to release a statement to bring our fans up to date with the most recent Velosipedska news.
---TEAM NEWS---
We are happy to announce that alongside main sponsor Oryx Outdoor Gear, we have secured a deal with 5AM Coffee. The news of the deal, worth $70,000, has been met with tears of joy in the team bus. Our limited funds meant that our riders had to buy their own coffee until today, leaving the most religious sippers with a decrease in personal spending that will enable them to buy a country house near Bitola.
Partly because of the new income, our team has secured the services of Vujadin Mileski, PR Manager. Vujadin will assist our manager KrMees in writing these releases from now on. The team has also invested in new handlebar tape and bibshorts, as well as a Vo2-max meter to improve our scouting ability. More on that later...

---RIDER NEWS---
Borislav Velovski has officially graduated from the Velosipedska training program. Our new Vo2-max meter now decides on all training matters, and unfortunately Borislav does not have the values we hoped he would have. Still, he is happy to work for his country and team, and will be an important addition to the sprint train. He will also join our mountain squad if they need a strong wind breaker in the valleys.
This leaves room for our most important announcement of the newsletter: Nderim Bogatinov has been signed from a small local team. Whilst training in the Tetovo hills, Nderim sped past a couple of our domestiques, whilst chugging a six pack of beer cans. The squad was able to catch up with him with some solid teamwork, to force our shiny new Vo2-max meter upon him. He’s currently been sober for about a day and already showing potential close to that of Aksentiev.
Bogatinov’s potentials:
CL: Small
DH: Small
HL: Average
SP: Very good
FR: Small
CB: Small
TT: Small
TQ: Average
---RACE NEWS---
The volatile nature of the ranking system of the divisions means that it’s difficult to plan ahead for a small team. We can not count on consistent results yet, so we plan ahead 1 or 2 weeks for the division we are in. We started this season in div 5, but quickly dropped back to div 6. There have been no classics, tours or cups on our radar just yet, but Riste showed some solid performances at Keelung - Wulai Falls(3d) and Vinh - Nam Phao(5th). Metodija also started his first season as captain pretty well, with results at Hog Bay - St George´s(2d) and a 4th place at Cachuela Esperanza - Guayaramerin (U23).
We will continue to race in smaller races, developing our sprint train and training our talents. This year is looking to be a year of stability. In S52 everything was new and we had some unexpected success. S53 is all about improving the core of our team in terms of staff and talent, and slowly building team spirit and experience to prepare us for great seasons in the future.
Kind regards and thanks for reading,
KrMees (Manager)
Vujadin Mileski (PR)
